Dutch Transport Company Celebrates the 20000th Vector 1800 - RAI Show

08 November 2005

Carrier Transicold President Ted Amyuni joined the EMEA Truck/Trailer team in order to celebrate the success of the Vector 1800 trailer unit, and to meet a number of important European customers including bodybuilders Chereau, Lamberet, Krone, Schmitz HLM/Kogel, Heiwo, SOR Van Eck/Unitrans and TRS.

Nearly 6 out of every 10 new temperature-controlled trailers supplied to the Western Europe market this year will be fitted with a Carrier Transicold refrigeration system. This reflects not only the quality of Transicold products, but also the impact of the Vector 1800 on both single and multi-temperature markets.

Introduced in Europe just six years ago, the 20,000th Vector 1800 will join the 250-strong fleet of temperature-controlled trucks and trailers of M.Mooy International Transport BV in the Netherlands.

Willem Zonneville said, “We chose the Vector 1800 for several reasons, notably superb product performance, exceptional reliability, low life-time running costs and the strong after-sales support that we get from Carrier Transicold throughout the whole of Europe, with their own service depots. It has proved to be the ideal solution for our business and we will be looking to increase our fleet by several units within the next year.”

This was certainly a successful show for Carrier Transicold. While the stand design drew admiration from customers and the press, extra business opportunities continued to flourish reinforcing Carrier Transicold’s market-leading position in Europe.
