Vector XLN – Xtra low noise refrigeration systems

As part of the environmental theme to the stand, the award winning low noise version of the Vector trailer refrigeration system will be demonstrated. It is still as powerful as its original versions, but ever more efficient, allowing customers to address their needs for low cost of ownership and respect of the cold chain whilst also respecting the environment.

From its first introduction back in 1999, the Vector range of trailer refrigeration systems from Carrier Transicold has consistently made headlines by breaking new ground in terms of market leading innovation, performance and environmental responsibility.

In a joint exercise in the UK and Holland, Carrier Transicold developed the extra low noise version of the standard Vector 1850 specifically to comply with Dutch regulations for noise levels – Piek – which limits the level of permitted noise at various time bands during the working day and, most importantly, during the night.

Vector 1850 XLN didn’t just meet the regulatory Piek levels. It re-wrote the record book. Vector 1850 XLN achieved an amazing 59.5dB, a significantly reduced level previously never reached by any manufacturer of transport refrigeration systems.

Next generation of Carrier Foretrack

This years CV Show sees Carrier Transicold launch the next generation of its popular Carrier Foretrack, the GPRS based fleet management package developed using the latest technology to enable customers to communicate with their temperature controlled fleets in real time.

For 2008, Carrier Foretrack includes a new version for those operators that don’t need the DataCOLD temperature recording facility. This version has all the functionality and performance of the original Foretrack version but at a lower cost.

Carrier Foretrack simplifies and improves fleet controls by enabling customers to monitor their refrigerated trucks and trailers wherever they are, without leaving the office, and ensuring that temperature sensitive goods are maintained correctly throughout their journey.

The original version of Carrier Foretrack communicates directly with both the Carrier Transicold refrigeration system and the DataCOLD 500 temperature recorder. This provides access to setpoint recording or modifications, running mode/compartment status, defrost/door open information, hour meter data and warning alarms, giving operators time to react before potential load damage occurs.
